I will be in Tallahassee, Florida for work in a couple of weeks. It is a short and busy trip but I’m hoping to at least have evenings to do quick mammal searches. In particular, I’m interested in round-tailed muskrat and marsh rabbit. If there are good spots for rodents or bats, that would be great, too.
A new report from Jan Kelchtermans is up on http://mammalwatching.com/Palearctic/palearctpoland.html
He didn’t find a Lynx but did see Wolves.

The SBDN has announced the 2012 blitz. May 20-24 at Apalachicola National Forest and vicinity,
Florida Panhandle. A pretrip to see an emergence of Southeastern Myotis would be high on my list. And a good opportunity to try for Round-tailed Muskrat, hopefully get some tips from local biologists. See
I’ve finally gotten around to a report from my January trip to Cuixmala Reserve in Mexico. It was pretty low key but I did see a few rodents and its a lovely area.
