This is quite well known. If I remember rightly researchers in Texas surveying for Ocelots first discovered the attraction of Obsession to cats and I believe it’s also been used successfully to attract Asiatic Cheetahs in Iran. Friends in Peru have successfully used it to camera trap Pumas and have great shots of the Pumas literally rubbling themselves in the scent!
