Sichuan Trip Report

I was in Sichuan at the end of April.  It was wet and the mammals didn’t like the rain any more than I did.  But I still saw 22 species, including Takin, Tufted Deer, Chinese Giant Flying Squirrel and Chinese Serow.  A trip report is here

Can someone tell me whether Sichuan is in the Paleartic or Oriental fauna zones?

cheers

  1. The mountains are certainly Palearctic; as for the lowlands – depends on who you ask, but I think they are in Oriental for animals and Palearctic for plants.
We are planning to go there and to Quiling in mid-wintr, BTW :-)
